Service degradation 11 Feb
Customers connecting to the relay sites on Wood Lane, Treeton from the immediate surrounding areas of mainly Wood Lane and Beaumont Park,
Affected customers will have been without Internet service from around 19:00 until 21:00 on 11 February. Those same customers should have had service restored at 21:00 but will most likely be experiencing a slight reduction in performance until maintenance work can be arranged.
After an engineer visit to site around 20:00, it was discovered that a cable fault has occurred on the roof of the relay site. It is expected that the excessive winds have caused wear on the cable.
Weather permitting we will arrange a further engineer visit to repair the damaged cable and restore services to full performance.
Apologies to those customers affected by this fault. We will of course provide updates on the repair works via this status page.
Continued adverse conditions have caused the failure of the repeater sites at Wood Lane. Customers in the Wood Lane and Beaumont Park area will be without connectivity until the issues are resolved. We are working as quickly as possible to restore services. We apologise for the inconvenience. We will update here as work progresses.
